Glenna Meuli Hayhoe grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from the Chippewa Falls High School in 1949. She attended and graduated from the Minneasota School of Business in Minneapolis, and was employed at the Minneapolis Star and Tribune in the Sports Department.

Glenna married Bruce C. Hayhoe, Sr., and has four children. In 1972 she and Bruce moved to Naples, Florida where they lived for 22 years. Volunteering was always Glenna’s interest and she belonged to many civic and cultural organizations there. Glenna was the founder of the Hospice of Naples and will celebrate their 25th Anniversary with them in 2008. She is Director Emiritus of their Board and attends meetings and events through the year in Naples. She was named Collier County’s Woman of the Year in 1984 and received many other awards through the years for her hospice work. Last year she was honored as one the Five Naples Pioneers who contributed to the betterment of Collier County. Eventually she owned her own office with 29 associates and staff for 2 years of the twenty-two.

In 1986 Glenna decided to go back to school for a year and become a Licensed Practical Nurse and graduated in 1987. At the same time, she was a Real Estate Broker and 2 years of that time, owned her own very successful company with 29 employees.

Moving back to Chippewa Falls has been a comfortable move and challenging – starting Woods & Water Realty, Inc. with Bruce, Sr. has been wonderful. "It is 'coming home' for me and I love it!"
